If you are a woman who has been widowed, left by a husband, or separated, and you are trying to find your own feet again, the Vedicology Foundation offers you free training in a skill you can earn a living from. There is no fee, and no qualification needed to join.
This is different from the scholarships we offer to students. For women in your situation, the help is practical and direct: a skill, and a way to use it.
A skill is something no one can take from you. It is yours to keep, yours to use, and it can become an income earned on your own terms — which is exactly what you need when you are starting again. The Foundation runs free vocational training across Tamil Nadu and Kerala for women who are rebuilding their lives, and this page explains who it is for and how to begin.

We support adolescent girls and women aged 18 and above. We do not fund minors.

Who this is for
This training is for women who are managing on their own. You qualify if you are:
Managing on your own
Abandoned
Your husband has left, and you are managing without his support.
Separated
You are living apart from your husband and supporting yourself.
You do not need to prove your story with documents to start a conversation with us. If your situation is close to one of these, please reach out — we would far rather you ask than decide on your own that you do not qualify.
What we offer you is a skill, not a scholarship
We want to be clear about what we offer women, so you know exactly what to expect.
For women rebuilding their lives, the Foundation provides vocational training only — not scholarships. Scholarships are part of our work with school and college students. For you, the more useful help is a marketable skill you can start earning from, rather than fees for a degree. The training is built around work you can actually find or create near where you live.
And “free” means genuinely free. The Foundation pays your full course fees directly to the training institution, and also covers the tools, uniforms, and materials you need, your certification exam fees, and travel support to reach the training centre where that applies. You should not have to find money out of your own pocket to take part.

It does not matter what you studied before
You do not need any past marks, certificates, or schooling to join. There is no academic bar of any kind — what matters is that you are ready to learn a skill, not what you studied years ago or whether you finished school at all.
If it has been a long time since you were in a classroom, that is completely fine. These courses are made for adults starting fresh, and you will be learning alongside other women doing exactly the same.

You may. If you are living apart from your husband and supporting yourself, please reach out and we will talk it through with you. You do not need legal papers to start the conversation.
Does the training cost anything?+
No. The training is completely free, and the Foundation never charges any fee at any stage. If anyone ever asks you for money in our name, please report it to .
What kind of work can the training lead to?+
It depends on the course — but the trades are chosen because they lead to real jobs or self-employment, in areas like healthcare support, beauty and wellness, tailoring, hospitality, computer skills, retail, and early childhood education.
