Free laptop scheme for students usually means a state government programme. Vedicology Foundation's own device support is narrower, but real. We help pay for a tablet or a laptop — never a smartphone.
This is for young women who scored 85% or above in Class 12. You must be currently studying for a degree or postgraduate qualification at a government institution, and holding a current CGPA of 8.0 or above.
This is for the young women we usually support: orphaned, raised by a single parent, or from a family already in difficulty, across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, who genuinely cannot afford the device otherwise. We do not fund minors. This is assistance toward the device itself — never cash handed over for you to spend as you choose.
Important: Vedicology Foundation never charges any application fee, processing fee, registration fee, or documentation fee. Our support is completely free. If anyone asks you for money claiming to represent us, please report it immediately to Email us.
A scholarship pays your fees. But even with fees covered, a missing laptop can slow down a degree that everything else about your record says you're ready for. This support exists for exactly that gap — for a young woman who has already proven she can do the work, and simply needs the tool to keep doing it.
Who qualifies for this
Four things have to be true:

- ●You are currently studying for a degree or a postgraduate qualification.
- ●You are studying at a government institution.
- ●You are holding a current CGPA of 8.0 or above (on the standard 10-point scale).
And, as with everything Vedicology Foundation does, this is for the young women we support. That means girls who are orphaned, raised by a single parent, or from a family already in difficulty. It's for those of you across Tamil Nadu and Kerala who genuinely cannot afford this otherwise.
What this covers, and what it doesn't
This is assistance toward buying a tablet or a laptop. Not a smartphone — we don't offer that. Not cash for you to spend however you choose — it's support specifically toward the device your studies need.
It does not currently include textbooks, stationery, or internet data as separate items under this programme. One of those might also be part of what's holding you back. If so, say so when you reach out. Tell us your full situation, and we'll look at everything you may be entitled to — not just one thing at a time.
You can combine it with other support
You don't have to choose between this and a scholarship. A young woman may hold a tuition scholarship with Vedicology Foundation and still qualify for help with a tablet or laptop. That is exactly the kind of gap this support closes. See the Merit Scholarship.
